This authentic Mexican pico de gallo salsa is super easy to make, always fresh and balanced, you can use it on top of most anything– eggs, tacos, tostadas, beans, meat, quesadillas.
In the United States, it's called salsa. In México, this beautiful blend of tomatoes, onions, serrano peppers, cilantro, salt, and lime is called Pico de Gallo.

Pico de Gallo Salsa
- 2 Roma tomatoes
- 1/2 Medium white onion
- 1-2 Serrano peppers (or jalapeños for a less spicy adventure)
- Cilantro
- 1-2 Medium key limes
- Salt to taste
- Tortilla chips (optional)
Finely chop tomatoes, onion, serranos and cilantro and place in a bowl, add lime juice, salt to taste, mix, and it is ready to eat!
Variations: using this base you can add ingredients to make it your own. Garlic, mango, corn, cucumbers, peaches, green peppers, etc. Make your own creative combinations. Come back and share the good ones!
