Red Pozole  with Pork

Red pozole is a traditional Mexican soup made with hominy, dried red peppers, spices and meat. It's served with fresh vegetable garnishes, oregano and lime.

Red pozole is easy to prepare, ready in 2 and a half hours and freezes well.

Place the meat in a big pot with the  garlic and spices. Cook until meat is tender.

Open the can of hominy, rinse the kernels well and set aside.

Remove stems and seeds from peppers and prepare the red sauce.

Pour the sauce into the broth. Shred the pork and return it to the broth. Simmer for 20 minutes.
